I’m having so much fun ning-ing. NH staff is designing a course and has set up a ning network to have some web-based collaboration. In addition to the NHS ning network, I belong to a couple of others Classroom2.0 and Digital Dialog and am really enjoying being a part of converstaions that are taking places across many time zones. It sure does make the world a whole lot smaller.

I’ve been away for three weeks and I’m trying to remember all things ning so that I can get one going for professional development. I also need to figure out how to close out my practice ning. I think I will follow your lead and join a couple of nings that are up and running. That way I can have the perspective of what it is like to participate as a member. Some of what I need to do is as basic as asking my network admin to allow Foxfire as my browser. Can’t do much tagging without Foxfire.

Hey, Steph, I have been telling folks that nings are private and an invitation is needed to join. Did I have that right? Does that mean (and here is the real question) others lurk or not? Is it possible to view the content without being a member? What I am hoping to do is establish a closed network like yours, but I can’t be sure it is secure. I think I am just nervous about asking friends to come to my ning. I need to get this behind me so we can ning away in Maine.
